Oh, Helen!*
At last! We are delighted to announce that this year`s first music feast will take place on 28th of February. This time our dependable conductor, Professor Marcin Sompoliński invites you to the University`s Concert Hall to feed your ears in the company of the great composer, Stanisław Moniuszko, and his... Helen!
In the menu:
Not to be missed!
The concert will be performed with the participation of leading Polish singers - Katarzyna Hołysz and Pawel Skałuba, accompanied by the Collegium F Orchestra and the Stanislaw Moniuszko`s Grand Theater`s Choir.
As usually, we`re expecting your arrival at the University`s Concert Hall on Wieniawskiego Street 1 (Poznań).
* Extra hint: “Helen” is the title of Stanisław Moniuszko`s most famous opera. In Polish original the title is “Halka”, which is a diminution of the name “Helen”. What you might not know, is that “Halka” has a second meaning in Polish language. It`s a part of women`s underwear – a petticoat.
Now, does the poster make more sense? … :)
